The European Commission (EC) and the European Agency for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (EASME) launched the pilot project “Ready2GO” aimed to support European SMEs to internationalise and become active in five target country markets outside of the EU.
A project by the European Commission and developed by an international consortium led by Promos Milan in collaboration with the Enterprise Europe Network, Ready2Go is an innovative new programme in which selected SMEs will be provided with the necessary tools for guaranteed success abroad.
In today’s world, the international marketplace is no longer reserved for big corporations and more and more smaller sized companies are beginning to expand overseas. However, setting up shop abroad is by no means an easy process, which is why Ready2Go is looking to help dynamic small and medium-sized European businesses to successfully go global.
Individual coaching
Up to 80 companies will benefit from individual coaching and collective training sessions on the targeted markets. The Business Cooperation Centres of the Enterprise Europe Network will be invited to participate in the organisation of the planned matchmaking events in Cameroon, Canada, Chile, India and USA.
Ready2Go complements the service offer of local Enterprise Europe Network partners. Also clients of the Network could receive targeted support for their international ventures and may even benefit from a partial reimbursement of travel costs. For this reason Network partners are encouraged to promote the action to their local business clients.
The project partners shall also develop a guidebook, including practical tools, which will help internationalisation experts of the Enterprise Europe Network but also company executives to take their business global. Ready2Go is an action funded by the European Commission and carried out in close collaboration with the Enterprise Europe Network.
