TRNL20220421033 - Circular waste process technology sought for the treatment of waste streams from waterways collected by carbon neutral water drone
The Dutch SME has developed an innovative solution, that is the world’s first ASV designed to remove unwanted, floating material (such as plastics) from waters in an urban, rural, industrial and leisure environments.
The autonomous surface vessel (ASV) designed to be efficient, long-lived, non-threatening and unobtrusive. With zero greenhouse emissions. The innovative ASV can be deployed in a specific waste-rich area where it finds, collects the debris and then safely returns it.
It is specifically designed for in-shore use where waste and biomass tend to collect and designed to be deployed with pre-set mission routes on your chosen waterbody.
-10 hours in water
– 5km range
– 3 km/h
– 500 kg debris can cleared per day
– Autonomous waypoint mission path (4G)
– Types of waste: Plastic, Biomass
The ASV is already in use in several countries in different environments (urban, rural, industrial and leisure). The innovative solution is also supported through the EU H2020 Green Deal.
The SME offers the innovative solution for the collection of waste by the ASV, however the company is looking for a complete, circulair solution (closing-the-loop). Therefore they are looking for waste processors that can offer a technology or system that can (pick-up and) process the waste stream in a climate neutral and circular way.
The SME would like to partner in a technical cooperation with waste processors with expertise specifically in the treatment of waste from waters (plastics, biomass, algae, etc.), to improve and optimize the process of the waste collection (for example: waste delivery, waste quality and any other requirements needed).
Within a commercial agreement with technical assistance, partner will be responsible for (pick-up and) process the waste stream (plastics and/or biomass) collected from the waterways.
Compared to similar solutions and available technologies others are either static and therefore have to be placed at multiple points in the water to work effectively or are simply too large to reach the smaller areas where waste and debris typically collects.
This solution offers easy deployment, mobility and manoeuvrability (with a patented hull design, small enough to fit between craft and quaysides, big enough to collect significant volumes of waste.)
Many waste collecting vessels spend a disproportionate amount of time out of action while waiting for large areas of trash chokeholds to develop before they are deployed. This often sees most of the waste sinking to the bottom and becoming irretrievable; this design can provide daily maintenance of a water body cheaply and effectively.
Other advantages:
– Zero greenhouse emissions
– Easy to operate
– Low cost
– Transportable
– Expertise in the treatment of waste streams from water
– Expertise in the treatment of waste streams (plastics and/or biomass) circularly
The SME is looking for waste processors with expertise specifically in the treatment of waste from waters. In collaboration the Dutch SME and the partner will optimize the waste stream. Within a commercial agreement with technical assistance, the partner will be responsible for (pick-up and) process the waste stream (plastics and/or biomass) collected from the waterways in a climate neutral and circular way.
